On the lines of Akshardham Temple of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the foundation stone of Jodhpur Akshardham temple is duly settled in Kaliberi area of Jodhpur city on Feb 05, 2018. The special thing about this temple is that Jodhpur famous Sandstone, ‘Chittar Patthar‘ will be used for its beautification and iron will not be used at all in its construction. After the construction, tourism will be promoted in Jodhpur.
People of the country and abroad will get the benefit of Satsang in the temple complex, which will be a spiritual center of Indian civilization and culture. The Jodhpur Akshardham temple will be the most magnificent summit of Rajasthan, which will be on about 40 bighas of land. The grand artistic peak of the temple will be built with Jodhpur’s Sandstone.
This Jodhpur Akshardham temple is the first temple of the chain in the world, where iron will not be used. The Bhoomi Pujan for Jodhpur Akshardham temple is done on Dec 16, 2013, after this the boundary wall was constructed.
The Shilanyas (foundation Stone ceremony) of BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham temple was made in Kaliberry area, Mandalnath road in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on February 05, 2018. For the construction of the temple, the Jodhpur Municipal Corporation has allotted 14.52 acres (40 bighas) of land. A thousand crores INR is estimated at the construction of the temple.
On this occasion, Saints and religious people, along with Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also participated. Significantly, five years ago, the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had taken the decision to give the land at Kaliberry for the construction of Jodhpur Akshardham temple on the initiative of Jodhpur then mayor Rameshwar Dadhich.

On the occasion of the foundation stones, many prominent saints and dignitaries, including the head of the institution in Ahmedabad Dr. Mahant Swami, Ishwar Charan Swami, Yogi Prem Swami and Kothari Swami were also present.
The highlight of the construction of the temple is that it will be used in Jodhpur’s Sandstone “Chittar Patthar” and for this, about 80 percent of the stones have already been sculpted in Pindwara of Sirohi district. The construction work will be completed in 5 years.
This will be the first Akshardham temple in the world, where iron will not be used. Iron has been used generally in any Akshardham construction so far. In this case, it will be the first Akshardham in the world, which will not be used in iron in construction. In the Sanctuary of the main temple, there will be a glimpse of the statue of Lord Swami Narayan.
The temple’s design will be a mixture of Akshardham made in Ahmedabad, Delhi and New Jersey in the United States. Apart from Jodhpur, stones have also been imported from Italy. Architect from Bochasanwasi Akshardham Purshottam Swami Narayan Institute (BAPS) Ahmedabad and other cities had prepared the master plan and design of Akshardham, which is set up in Jodhpur.

- Addiction-Relief Center “Vyasan Mukti Kendra” – To get rid of drug addiction, 1000 people will get rid of addiction every month in this regular running center.
- Youth Center – More than 1500 people will be able to get information together at the Youth Center, which will be built near the temple.
