Rajasthan Board Exam 2021: RBSE Class 10, 12 Evaluation Formula Announced; Results to be Declared in 45 Days

Rajasthan Board Exam 2021: The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) on Wednesday night released the evaluation criteria for Class 10, 12 Results 2021. Rajasthan State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra approved the result assessment formula for Class 10 and 12 students.

Earlier due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state education board (RBSE) followed CBSE and cancelled Class 10 and 12 board exams. As per the evaluation formula, students’ results will be prepared on the basis of performance in the previous two years. Giving further details, the minister said that the results for both Class 10 and 12 students would be released in next 45 days.

A 12-member marking committee constituted by the state government has made this recommendation in its report. As per the report submitted by the result committee, Class 10 result will be based on Class 8 board exams result held in 2019, Class 9 final result, and Class 10. 45 per cent weightage will be given to the final result of Class 8 class, 25 per cent weightage will be given to marks obtained in Class 9 final exam, and 10 per cent will be from Class 10.

For the 10 per cent weightage of Class 10, it will be up to schools how they award marks to students. The 20 per cent marks will be the internal marks as earlier.

On the other hand, examination is compulsory for the Class 10 private students as their Class 9 marks are not available with the board.

Similarly, for Class 12 theory, 40% weightage will be given to Class 10 board exam 2019, 20% to Class 11 final exam result, and for Class 12, the percentage of weighting will be 20%, which will be decided by schools. The internal marks weightage will be 20%, as earlier.

The Education Department said most of the schools were able to conduct practical exams and have already submitted marks. Schools that are yet to conduct practical sessions will hold those online or offline, after permission from the home and health departments.

Class 10 and Class 12 results will be announced in the next 45 days, it said. However, Students who are not satisfied with their results will get the option to appear for an optional examination to improve their scores. The optional exams will be held when the situation becomes conductive. For candidates who take the optional exam, their performance in that exam will be considered final, it added.
