Bollywood ‘Shahenshah’, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan reaches Jodhpur for the next leg of shooting for Thugs of Hindostan. The film also features Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
By the words like “Khamma Ghani Jodhpur…..aaya hun Sanskrtik Nagri mai….” has won the hearts of his fan. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan arrived in Jodhpur on Monday in a charter plane for the shooting of his upcoming film, Thugs of Hindostan and to attend the royal wedding of TVS company’s CEO Mallika Shrinivasan’s daughter.
The wedding will be held in Umaid Bhawan Palace. The film will be shot at Mehrangarh Fort. The shooting of the film has been started in the ramparts of Mehrangarh Fort earlier.
Thugs of Hindostan also features Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles and also features Jackie Shroff and Shashank Arora. The team members of the film have already arrived in Jodhpur on Sunday. The shooting of the film will be continuing until 22nd of March. Due to the holiday on Sunday the shooting of the film would not be in process.
Amitabh Bachchan arrived in Blue City for the shooting of his next project “TOH“. In this film, he will be starting with Amir Khan for the first time. The climax of the film will be shot in the Meherangarh Fort. From our some sources, we know that Amir Khan will soon join the shooting.
The Vijay Krishna Acharya film Thugs of Hindostan, produced by Yash Raj Films, brings together Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan for the first time on silver screen. The film Shot in Mumbai, Morocco and Thailand is expected to be completed by March end and is set to hit the theatres on November 8, 2018.
Thugs of Hindostan is an adaptation of Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel “Confessions of a Thug”. The novel was about a gang of Thugs during the early 19th century, who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India (then known as Hindustan or Hindostan).
The superstar of the century Amitabh Bachchan is again in the Blue city this time he is coming for the purpose of the film shooting and also a wedding to be attended by him. Big B has the tremendous fan following and old connection with Jodhpur.
In March 2015, Amitabh Bachchan was in Jodhpur for a fund-raising event, associated with social causes. The thespian performed with the famous Shillong Chamber Choir and Vienna Chamber Orchestra. As per collected reports, all the funds raised from this event had gone to the Head Injury Foundation, which will, in turn, used it for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injuries.

In the early 1970’s Big B came for the first time to Jodhpur for the shooting purpose of the film “RESHMA Aur SHERA” with the co-star Sunil Dutt. Sunil Dutt also mentioned that the shooting of the film “RESHMA Aur SHERA” have been shot in the desert of Osian. Amitabh Bachchan also came for the shooting of an advertisement of “PEPSI” in Jodhpur with Sachin Tendulkar.
In the second convocation of Jodhpur National University held on September 30, 2013, the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and environmentalist, hotelier and visionary, Capt CP Krishnan Nair receive honorary doctorates for exemplary contribution in their respective fields.

While Bachchan is being conferred a Doctorate in Literature for his exemplary contribution to Indian cinema, Capt CP Krishnan Nair, founder chairman and chairman emeritus of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts will be conferred the first honorary doctorate in hospitality and business management.
Earlier, in the Year 2001, for the occasion of new year celebration, all favourite Big B was in town. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a Rajasthani men wearing the traditional clothes of Rajasthan in the Bollywood fantasy film “Paheli“, based on the riddle and this film was written by the famous Rajasthani writer Vijaydan Detha of Borunda.
