Pending CBSE Board Exams for Class 10th, 12th from July 1-15


The waiting period is over for the Board 2020 exam students. HRD ministry today announced dates for pending CBSE board exams that to be held between 1 July and 15 July for class 10th and 12th. Human Resource Development (HRD) minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the same today on twitter also.

HRD Ministry today said that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the remaining board exams for Class 10th and 12th from July 1st to 15th, 2020. The exams have been delayed due to closure of educational institutions in the country because of the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.


HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the dates on twitter today at 05:09 pm with message – “लंबे समय से #CBSE की 10वीं और 12वीं की बची हुई परीक्षाओं की तिथि का इंतज़ार था, आज इन परीक्षाओं की तिथि 1.07.2020 से 15.07.2020 के बीच में निश्चित कर दी गई है। मैं इस परीक्षा में भाग लेने वाले सभी विद्यार्थियों को अपनी शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।@HRDMinistry @PIB_India @DDNewslive”

While no exams will be held for Class 10 in any part of the country, except for northeast Delhi where the class X exams got postponed due to communal riots in the area. However, CBSE will conduct Class XII board exams in 12 subjects, with the schedule for these, and also the pending Class X exams being announced shortly. Class 12 exams will be held in subjects like business studies, geography, Hindi, home science, sociology, computer science, information practice (old and new), information technology and bio-technology.

CBSE Officials say that board will go ahead on the evaluation of answer-sheets sooner. This is an attempt to conduct CBSE Board exam all tests before the commencement of the JEE and NEET exams. Universities and schools across the country have been closed since March 16 when the Centre announced a countrywide classroom shutdown and banned mass gatherings as one of the measures to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.

Other competitive exams have also been rescheduled in the wake of the coronavirus lockdown. The HRD ministry has already announced that the Engineering entrance examination JEE (Main) exam will be conducted from July 18 to 23 and the Medical entrance test NEET 2020 from July 26.
